Incorporating the brands that supported the European Tour and trusted in us throughout the last season we decided to honor some riders by nominating them for the EFPT SAILOR OF THE YEAR award. A jury consisting of the EFPT team and judges picked 9 riders who can be voted for on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/EFPT1) by the public until the 1st of January (12.00am).

The nominees are: Andraz Zan (F2/F2) from Slovenia, Dieter Van der Eyken (Starboard) from Belgium, Gabriele Varrucciu (Naish/Naish) from Italy, Adrian Beholz (Fanatic/Sailloft) from Germany, Mattia Fabrizi (North/Fanatic) from Italy, Italian Jacopa Testa (RRD/RRD), Adam Sims (Sailloft) and Andy ‘Bubble’ Chambers (JP/Neilpryde) from the UK and Youp Schmit (JP/Neilpryde) who competes for the Netherlands.

It is hard to grasp how fast a year passed by. A year in which 63 competitors out of numerous European countries participated in the four European Freestyle Pro Tour events. We are looking back on a successful season with results at every tour stop, great performances, the involvement of a lot of amazing people and a very strong media output. We have seen outstanding styles in windsurfing and extraordinary achievements by some riders like that of the organization of a whole EFPT event, the promotion of brands and windsurfing itself, amazing media productions and top results.
