Ci speravamo tanto… avere una bella tappa del European Freestyle Pro Tour in Conca d’Ora al Lago di Garda, ma oggi è arrivata la doppia smentita (tanto per essere sicuri), la prima da Mikel Slijk, titolare del Shaka Surf Center dove si sarebbe dovuta svolgere la gara in quel di Torbole, e poi dal comunicato ufficiale dell’EFPT (che potete leggere qui sotto). Quindi è ufficiale, niente gara del Tour Europeo a Torbole, mentre è stato confermato l’evento in Russia.
Ad ogni modo Mikel, impegnato in questi giorni in una parte di ristrutturazione del suo centro in Conca d’Oro a Torbole (per tutti i windsurfisti e accompagnatori il team di Shaka è al lavoro per costruire dei bagni/docce e spogliatoio) ci ha confermato i seguenti eventi:

- Girls Camp con Flavia Tartaglini
- Young Guns Camp con Steven Van Broeckhoven (dal 2 al 6 agosto)
- Old Guns Camp con Steve

Dear friends of the EFPT,

we have some good news and some not so good news for you.

First of all, to get the not so good news out the way, we regretfully have to announce the CANCELLATION of the EFPT Lake Garda event. The organisers tried their best to bring the European Tour back to this world famous freestyle location, however the funding and the economic situation in Italy didn’t allow a positive outcome. Combined with the short time frame the organiser thought it best to put their efforts into hopefully bringing the event to the tour in 2014.

Now for the good news, with the tour stops in Austria and Croatia already confirmed we are extremely happy to announce that RUSSIA is now onboard. The contracts are signed, the event organisation is in full swing and the dates set.

Having visited Russia a few times already, we are excited to have a new spot on tour. The AQUALETO CUP in Eysk will take place from the 20th through to the 26th May where the battle will be on for 10,000€ prize money.

So what can we expect? Well first off each competitor will receive FREE ACCOMMODATION in the Aqualeto hotel which will include free breakfast, lunch and dinner. On top of this each day will play host to a tow-in competition with a cool €1,000 up for grabs.

There will be a free transfer provided from the closest airport, Rostov on Don, on the 18th and 19th of May and the 26th of May. We kindly ask you to arrange your transfer BEFORE the 15th of May and contact Vladimir Yakovlev (windrus99@gmail.com). Attached to this email you will find the information you will have to provide to the organiser in order to receive the transfer.
